For as much as we love good food, we love connecting with people who love food even more. When Andi contacted us for an interview for her blog, Misadventures with Andi, we were thrilled to share the inspiration behind Hatchup Katchup. Click through the photo to read the whole story!
Hatchup Katchup Bloody Mary (add your favorite vodka or tequila to taste!)
Start with a great cocktail shaker and fill about halfway with ice.
1/4 tsp peppercorn
1/4 tsp sel gris (to taste can go to 1/2 tsp w/o overdoing it)
1/2 tsp celery seed
Put in mortar and pestle and make a fine grind. Throw in the shaker.
Add To Shaker:
2-3 tbsp HATCHUP KATCHUP
1/2 tsp Worcestershire
1/2 tsp prepared fine horseradish (if using fresh otherwise put 1/2 tbs horseradish through juicer when juicing the ginger and tomato).
1 tsp dill pickle juice.
Squeeze 1/4 lemon
add 4-5 ripened tomatoes, 1 tbs fresh ginger, and if using fresh horseradish add now.
Pour into shaker and shake shake shake. Pour into tall glass over ice.
Garnish with cilantro, parsley, and basil leaf. Place a celery stalk in at the very least. for episode we used: cornichon (mini pickle) , pickled ginger, marinated pimento stuffed olives, sundried tomato, fresh heirloom cherry tomatoes, and a chunk of jarlsberg cheese.

It was a glorious day last weekend when the Farm Shop at Los Poblanos invited us to do a Hatchup Katchup Tasting! We very much enjoyed meeting everyone who stopped by for a taste!
We had a blast doing this! A big Thank You to Stuart and Joseph (who rocked the camera) and to the Fairmont El Corazon in Santa Fe for their generosity and for being the perfect "Staycation Getaway."
