Hatchup Katchup Founders on KRQE This Morning Doing Up Some Hatchup Bloody Marys!

Hatchup Katchup Bloody Mary (add your favorite vodka or tequila to taste!)

Start with a great cocktail shaker and fill about halfway with ice.

Spice Blend:

1/4 tsp peppercorn
1/4 tsp sel gris (to taste can go to 1/2 tsp w/o overdoing it)
1/2 tsp celery seed

Put in mortar and pestle and make a fine grind. Throw in the shaker.

Add To Shaker:


1/2 tsp Worcestershire

1/2 tsp prepared fine horseradish (if using fresh otherwise put 1/2 tbs horseradish through juicer when juicing the ginger and tomato). 

1 tsp dill pickle juice. 

Squeeze 1/4 lemon

In juicer:

add 4-5 ripened tomatoes, 1 tbs fresh ginger, and if using fresh horseradish add now.

Pour into shaker and shake shake shake.  Pour into tall glass over ice.

Garnish with cilantro, parsley, and basil leaf.  Place a celery stalk in at the very least.  for episode we used: cornichon (mini pickle) , pickled ginger, marinated pimento stuffed olives, sundried tomato, fresh heirloom cherry tomatoes, and a chunk of jarlsberg cheese.
